17 Jun 2015 --- The US Food and Drug Administration has ruled that partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) are not generally regarded as safe and should be removed from human food products. PHOs are the primary dietary source of artificial trans fats in processed foods.
Food manufacturers have three years to reformulate and remove PHOs from their products.
