Cocoa and chocolate products manufacturer Barry Callebaut has opened its first chocolate factory in Chile to tap into the rapidly-growing Chilean chocolate market.
The facility has an initial capacity to produce 25,000 tonnes of liquid chocolate and compounds annually.
Located approximately 40 km from the capital city of Santiago de Chile, the chocolate factory will serve as a regional base for the company while capturing new opportunities in the broader Andean region.
